The Buddha Dordenma is a massive Shakyamuni Buddha statue located in Thimphu, Bhutan, and is one of the largest of its kind in the world. The statue houses over 125,000 smaller Buddha statues inside it, which are also made of bronze and gilded in gold. These include 100,000 8-inch-tall and 25,000 12-inch-tall Buddha statues. Situated amidst the ruins of Kuensel Phodrang, the palace of the 13th Desi Druk, Sherab Wangchuck, it overlooks the southern approach to Thimphu, offering a stunning view of the city and its surroundings.
